Happy Birtday Nermal! (AKA: Kitten, Baby Boy, Kitten Bitten and Nermson) Today my little kitten is turning one years old:) I know it’s probably dorky to celebrate a cat’s birthday but they are very special to me and deserve a little attention from my blog. I decided since it was his birthday he would get homemade cat treats. I had never made animal treats before but found a lot of helpful information online. I also called the vet just to make sure all the ingredients in the recipe were cat safe. The treat consisted of tuna, corn meal and flour and my cats could have cared less about them. They sniffed and then looked at me wondering why I was not giving them real treats. The kitten just took his paw and batted it around the kitchen like a little toy. Oh well. I guess I cannot compete with the yummy goodness of Wellness treats:) I’m going to include the treats just in case someones cat out there might like them….

Homemade Cat Treats:

6 oz. undrained tuna

1 C. corn meal

1 C. flour

1/3 C. water

Mix together and make small treat size disks. Cook on 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
